Last week Mr Alimu, a customer in Changji, Xinjiang, sent us a video of his car wash with the message “this big-machine wash is much smoother than what I used before”. The workshop team was moved to see it — this custom order hit exactly the most practical pain point for local users.
Mr Alimu’s wash point mainly serves nearby mine fleets and farming and herding households, and the vehicles he washes are mostly “big”: more than 2m wide, nearly 2.5m tall, and over 6m long. The regular machine before either had too narrow a passage to drive into, or an arm that could not reach the roof — after washing he still had to spend half an hour touching up by hand, which was slow and often drew complaints.
For this custom classic red touchless car wash machine we left the core zero-friction wash logic untouched and made three changes for fit. First, we optimised the sensing and positioning logic so it recognises extra-wide and extra-tall vehicles precisely and does not misread them and stop. Second, we widened the swing range of the spray arm upwards and to both sides so the water curtain covers the whole body — even sand sitting on the roof. Third, we widened the entry and exit passage by 40cm more than the standard model, so a big vehicle can drive straight in without shuffling back and forth and the driver can operate it alone.
We also suggested a small refinement to Mr Alimu: let the touchless machine handle the standardised cleaning of the whole body, and if staff, after the foam spray, wipe the spots that collect thick mud — the wheel arches and bumper corners — and let the machine do a second rinse, the final finish is better than machine work alone and adds little extra labour time. After half a month of use his customers’ feedback improved noticeably, and last month his fixed orders from the mine fleets went up by more than twenty.
After all these years making car wash machines, the classic red model is a mature product proven in the market, but we never push a one-size-fits-all standard output.
