Recently a Xiaomuzhi auto repair chain store in Chengdu completed a service upgrade: a Tianyi “Longxishui” fully automatic touchless car wash machine has been installed and is about to go into use. It marks a fresh upgrade of the store’s after-sales car washing.
Xiaomuzhi is a well-known brand in the automotive aftermarket chain business, founded in Hangzhou in 2004 and now with more than 3,700 stores nationwide, covering quick service, tyres and chassis parts, and paint and bodywork. In the Chengdu area the stores are spread across districts such as Longquanyi, serving local owners with repair and maintenance.
Why choose a touchless car wash machine?
According to the store manager, after-sales washing used to be done by hand, with several practical problems: washing one car took about 20 minutes, so customers waited a long time at peak hours; different washers worked in different ways, so the standard was hard to keep uniform; and occasionally grit caught in a cloth or sponge left fine marks on the paint.
The manager put it plainly: “We see a lot of owners every day, including new cars and high-end models. If the wash step goes wrong, the customer experience suffers.”
What won them over to the Tianyi “Longxishui” touchless machine was exactly that it is safe and does not harm the car. The machine cleans with high-pressure water and a dedicated detergent, and no brush or object touches the paint at any point, ruling out scratches by design.
At the installation site the main body of the machine was in place and technicians were making the water and power connections and checking the system. The Tianyi factory sent specialist technicians to guide the whole installation and ensure quality. Once in use, the wash time per car is expected to be 4–5 minutes, freeing up after-sales staff from the wash bay to focus on core work such as repair and maintenance.
