In Shaanxi, an EV charging station has taken on a new look. In its wash area a red gantry-type fully automatic touchless car wash machine carrying the Tianyi logo is already standing, with a self-service car wash unit alongside it. Workers are finishing the pipe connections so the pair can go into trial operation.

As electric vehicles spread, charging stations are no longer simply “refuelling stops” — they are turning into service hubs. This station found that many drivers had nothing to do during the half hour their car was charging, while nearby car washes queued badly at peak times. To make the site more attractive, the operator decided to add car washing.
The Tianyi gantry touchless machine uses an intelligent sensor system. Its frame spans the lane, and during the wash high-pressure water curtains with a dedicated detergent cover the whole body without touching the paint, flushing away everyday dust and dirt. A single-car cycle is compact, so a standard wash finishes quickly and waiting time drops.
The self-service unit alongside gives drivers more freedom: while the car charges they can wipe the wheel arches, mirrors and other spots themselves. Machine plus hand — the machine does the main work, the customer fills the gaps — makes for a more reliable result. The automatic + self-service combination copes with peak traffic, shortens queues and also suits individual preferences.
Installation at the Shaanxi station is in its final stage. The Tianyi team is following progress on site and will help the operator with commissioning and operator training so the equipment runs steadily.
